A Common Consistent Inconsistency

Don Preston has produced hundreds of You Tube Videos under the heading of "Morning Musings" in which he presents a fifteen minute or so teaching on a subject. When he addressed I Corinthians 15 he made over 300 videos on just that one chapter alone. When you examine his first videos on the subject of Resurrection that he produced some ten years ago or so, you can witness that his views have changed greatly since that point in time. It is very common among Preterism to reject the works of the Early Church Fathers, and any Early Creedal statements, suggesting that these works are not inspired and so do not amount to a hill of beans. Yet they produce their own books and Videos to propagate their own "Uninspired" views. The formulate their own "Creeds" such as "Timing dictates the Nature" as a basis for interpretation. When the early creedal statements are made, they will agree with every key point but two: They reject the Bodily Resurrection of the saints, and the Visible Return of Christ.

Videos are another means of communication truth. They become the compliment to the blog and present a different forum where people are able to interact with the subject being presented. Much of what is done is in apologetic form, to give an answer for others "mistakes". It is not a sermon or a Sunday School lesson but a theological point being made that is consistent and logical. Many will be a repeat of my blog but more off the cuff and not from reading a script. The introduction video is meant to provide a beginning point of understanding of how we interpret the Bible, the rules used to guide our understanding of what is being said. There are many other resources that help us in the process. The two other foundational videos start with understanding what is "Middleism", something I created to help differentiate from Partial Preterism. The third is an introduction to "the Resurrection of the Dead", the meaning created by Preterists demands an answer as people are slowly being fooled by persuasive sounding arguments, yet the foundation or underline principle that they want you to accept is a lie. You can access all the videos on my You Tube Channel and by subscribing, be notified whenever a new ones is made available.

About my Blog -

The goal is to bring a concise apologetic answer to issues of doctrine and theology presented by Preterists, and answers in general. Many people give answers and express opinions but the question to ask is this? To what degree does the person's credibility lend to the accuracy of the answer; How much education does the person have; Are they really qualified to answer theologically? This is not meant to be a put down of people but we must rely on sound theology for answers, no one wants "half" answers nor answers that necessarily agree with our own but we want the truth that is derived from scriptures, and that based on accurate interpretation. Many people have opinions but the point is to arrive at the truth through discussion and examination: to see where we err and so correct those errors based on sound logic and reasoning from the whole of the council of scriptures. Our goal is not to make our doctrine fit our opinion but fit our opinion to correct doctrine. Scriptures must define our belief system and not our belief system defining the meaning of scriptures. The honest scholar looks to shape his doctrine but what he learns from scriptures in every verse. Sadly much of what we see and hear in answer is people citing their pet verse while not comprehending that their interpretation is contradictory to another specific passage.

Blog Example: Physical Return of Christ

The Preterist denies that Christ exist in heaven still in his glorified body, in which Philippians 3:21 states that Christ in heaven has, they will argue its not a physical body yet every scriptures tells us a body is always "physical", and there is not one scriptures that will teach a body can be just like a spirit, immaterial. They will claim Christ shed his body after he ascended or that it changed to "spirit" but they can not produce one scripture that says so. An apologetic will answer why he has a body in heaven from scriptures and what is it's purpose.` It will explain theologically why Jesus became a man and remains a man for all eternity. (Jesus is fully God and Fully man) The reason the Preterist must deny Christ is still physical is because IF he had returned in AD 70, then a physical body would have been seen, but since they know there is no evidence of Christ being seen, yet they claim he came, so it had to be an "invisible" appearing in the spiritual realm which means Christ can not have a physical body.. This is how they force scripture to fit their paradigm and why we must provide a sound answer. Incorrect doctrine leads to confusion which, as Paul states, causing problems with peoples faith. Contradictions destroys a person ability to trust that scriptures are true for if it can be proven scriptures are wrong in any area then how we can we trust anything in our bible.
